In 2024, HELEXPO claimed and received ISO 20121 certification for the Forward Green & Renewable EnergyTech exhibitions from the certification company Bureau Veritas.
The company, promoting sustainable development and committed to ESG principles, will re-certify for the second consecutive year its two exhibitions, Forward Green and Renewable EnergyTech, with the ISO 20121:2012 Standard. At the same time, it is working towards this goal for its other exhibitions and conference events.
ISO 20121 is an international standard that specifies the requirements for creating and implementing a Sustainability-based Event Management System. It focuses on identifying, assessing, and managing the environmental, social, and economic challenges associated with event organization. Its goal is to promote sustainability and minimize the negative impacts of events on the environment, society, and the economy.
This standard ensures that exhibitions have a positive impact on economic, environmental, and social levels by reducing waste, energy consumption, and utilizing digital tools such as digital visitor registration, electronic exhibitor participation declarations, and many other practices outlined in the sustainable development policy and management policies.
